How do I place an order?

 

Placing an order is easy. By clicking on an item, you can select the size and color you would like and add it to your shopping bag by clicking "Add To Shopping Bag". At any time, you can review these items by clicking "My Shopping Bag" on the menu at the top of the screen. On the shopping bag page, you can remove items by clicking "Delete Item". Click "Update" to calculate your new subtotal. You can also delete the entire contents of your shopping bag by clicking "Clear Bag" at the bottom of the page. Once you are satisfied with your order, click on "Checkout" to complete your order. To complete your order, you will need to register by providing your e-mail address and creating a password. This will make for an easy check-out on your next shopping trip, plus it will automatically track your purchases and tell you when you are eligible for discounts. We value your privacy, so unless you specifically sign up for our mailing list, we will not e-mail you.

Can I use a Gift Card or store credit to purchase online?

Unfortunately, at this time we cannot accept gift cards or store credits for online purchases.

 

How can I check the status of my order?

 

You can check the status of your order by logging in using the password you created when you registered. Once you have logged in to "My Account" located next to your Shopping Bag at the top of the page, click on "Order History" and a UPS tracking number will be available within 48 hours of placing your order.

At check-out you can specify that an order be gift-wrapped. The recipient will receive a package that includes a wrapped gift box, a card printed with your personalized message, a blank packing slip, and a free UPS shipping label to make for easy returns or exchanges. For your records, a duplicate receipt will be sent to the billing address. At this time, we cannot ship to multiple addresses, so if you'd like to have some items gift-wrapped and others for yourself, you will have to place separate orders.

We do our best to avoid it, but sometimes an item that you have ordered may be out of stock. Within 24 hours of placing your order, we will e-mail you to apologize that part of your order is out of stock. We never charge your credit card until your order ships, so you will not have to pay for an item that is unavailable.

How do I use coupons?

 

If you have a coupon code, it can be entered on the bottom of the "My Shopping Bag" page. Enter your coupon code, click on "Submit", and your total will be adjusted to reflect the discount. Coupons cannot be combined with other offers or used on sale items.

We ship to all 50 U.S. states and Canada. At this time, we cannot ship to international destinations, P.O. Boxes, APO addresses or US territories.

Risk of loss and title for merchandise shipped to Canada will pass to you upon our delivery to the carrier. Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are levied once a shipment reaches your country. You will be responsible for paying additional charges for customs clearance; we have no control over these charges and cannot predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; please contact your local customs office for further information. Additionally, when ordering from Urbanchiconline.com, you are the importer and must comply with all laws and regulations of the destination country. You authorize us to designate a carrier to act as your agent with the relevant customs and tax authorities in the destination country, to clear your merchandise and advance (on your behalf) any duties and taxes owed by you.

Your privacy is important to us, and we know that you care about how information about your order is used and shared. We would like our Canadian customers and customers shipping products internationally to be aware that cross-border shipments are subject to opening and inspection by customs authorities.

Also, we may provide certain order, shipment, and product information, such as description, to our international carriers, and this information may be communicated by the carriers to customs authorities to facilitate customs clearance and comply with local laws.

If the order is a gift, the package is marked "Gift," but the cost of the item is still stated on the customs form. Customs authorities require us to state the value of the gift item directly on the package.

How long should it take to receive my order?

 

Once you have placed your online order with us, please allow 24 hours to process and 5-7 business days from the time you order for standard ground delivery. We will e-mail you once your items ship so you can track your order. We use UPS, so we do not deliver on Saturday or Sunday. In our experience, UPS Ground generally ships to the East Coast and Midwest within about two days and to the West Coast within about four days.

Do you charge sales tax?

 

By law, we must charge sales tax in the states where we operate brick-and-mortar stores. That means that for orders shipped to DC, 5.75% sales tax will be added to your total; for orders shipped to Maryland, 6% sales tax will be added. All other states are tax-free!

How do I make a return?

 

We know that when you shop our site, there is a greater risk that the item you loved online won't fit the way you want in person. That's why we make returns easy.  If you are not satisfied with your purchase, please ship back the item(s) in the original packaging, include the original invoice, and attach the free return label that accompanied your order. Schedule a pickup with UPS online or drop it off at your local UPS store to send the item back to us for return or exchange. If you have any questions about whether an item is returnable, you can find our return policy at the bottom of the Return Card enclosed with your original order, as well as on our website in greater detail.

What is your return policy?

 

We accept returns and exchanges on items that are in original condition with all tags attached. In the case of footwear, the original shoebox must accompany the return. Unfortunately, items that do not meet these criteria must be returned to you, and return postage will be charged to your original method of payment. Sale items, lingerie and swimwear are final sale.

For full-priced merchandise, returns and exchanges may be made within 21 days of order date (you can locate this date on the packing slip enclosed with your order). Returns and exchanges on sale merchandise are not accepted. (This does not include special promotions or coupon discounts, which may be returned or exchanged at purchase price.) Urban Chic does not make price adjustments.

Can merchandise purchased online be returned or exchanged in-store?

 

We are happy to accept returns or exchanges in-store, even if the merchandise was purchased online. Bring the item and your packing slip to any store location, and the same return policy will apply.

Once we receive your returned merchandise and ensure that it is in its original condition, your refund will be made to your original method of payment within 5 business days.  However, after we have processed your return, it may take an additional 5 to 10 business days for your financial institution to post the credit to your account.

What if I forget my password?

 

It is easy to retrieve your password. When logging in, just click on "Recover Password" and you will be prompted to provide the email address you used when registering. Your password will be e-mailed to the address given so you can access your account.
